About the event
Theory and practice workshop on Cubism
At the beginning of the 20th century, in the chaos of the world, a new kind of order in painting was born, which we now call cubism. Artists simplified forms into geometric elements and, unlike Impressionism, sought not a changing spectacle but an enduring essence. An overview of cubism is in fact essential to understanding the Picasso exhibition that has just opened.
In our series, we will offer an insight into this structured world in the form of a projected slide show in the first hour, followed by 3 hours of collective painting in the Cubist style based on the principles we have heard.
